At My Name’s, we believe that professional connections are a form of private capital. We’ve built this application with a 'Privacy by Design' architecture, ensuring you have total control over who sees your data and how your contacts are managed.
11. Information Collection and Usage
We collect information necessary to provide and maintain our Service. This is divided into two categories: Public Profile Data and Local CRM Data.
Public Profile: Information you voluntarily provide for your digital card, including your name, photo, job title, company, and links to your social media or messenger profiles.
Account Data: To secure your account, we collect your email address or phone number through Firebase Authentication.
Technical Data: We collect anonymous technical information such as device model, OS version, and app performance logs to ensure stability.
22. The 'Zero-Contact Harvesting' Principle
Unlike many competitors, My Name’s does not 'harvest' your phone’s address book. We use a Selective Import process.
We do not request background access to your entire contact list.
You manually choose which individual contacts to import from your native OS picker into the My Name’s local CRM.
The app only accesses the specific data points of the contact you explicitly selected.
33. Local Storage and Privacy (Hive_CE)
Your professional context (notes on where you met someone, private tags, etc.) is stored locally on your device using Hive_CE database technology.
Private Metadata: Your notes and 'Smart Tags' are personal metadata that never leaves your device.
Encryption: Local data is protected by the operating system’s sandbox architecture, making it inaccessible to other applications.
No Server-Side CRM: We do not maintain a mirror of your imported contacts or notes on our central servers.
44. Web-Viewer and Universal Links
When you share your profile via QR or link, a lightweight Web-Viewer is generated for the recipient.
Web-Viewer: Displays only the fields you have chosen to make public.
VCF Export: The Web-Viewer allows recipients to save your contact directly to their phone book via a standard .vcf file.
Universal Links: If the recipient has the app installed, the link will open directly in the My Name’s native interface for a seamless experience.
55. Third-Party Service Providers
We utilize reputable third-party infrastructure to power our app:
Firebase (Google): Used for Authentication, Cloud Firestore (Profile data storage), and Analytics.
Cloud Hosting: Public Web-Viewer profiles are hosted on secure servers with industry-standard encryption (HTTPS).
66. Your Rights and Data Control
Right to Access/Edit: You can modify your public profile at any time within the app.
Data Portability: You can export your own card information as a VCF file.
Right to be Forgotten: Deleting your account will result in the permanent removal of all your public profile data from our cloud servers.
